Do You Believe In Miracles?

There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is. (Albert Einstein)

Travel can open our eyes to miracles, as well as the amazing world that simply “is.”  Our imagination can take us to places we have never been.  But, home exchanges make it possible to actually live in such places.

Imagine you are walking along along the Maya Bay in Thailand, skiing in Zermatt, Switzerland, hopping on another ride at Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen, Denmark, or enjoying a glass of wine at a restaurant along the Seine, in Paris, France.  Voila!  With a home exchange, you are actually where you imagined!  And your family is there along with you–enjoying the miracle of travel, living like a local somewhere you’ve only otherwise spent time in your imagination!  No longer only a fantasy–this is really happening!  Go ahead, pinch yourself.  It is real.

Is it a miracle?  Yes.  A miracle, but “real”!

Why do we Christians think of “miracles” as the things of long, long ago, or something that only happens to someone else, or something that happens only in a storybook (oh, look what we have done to the Bible!)?  God put us here.  We believe that.  When even a scientist can speak so forcefully of “miracles,” isn’t it time to live as those who believe God is big enough to work a miracle for us?

After all, life is a miracle!  And it comes to us as a blessing from the hand of Almighty God, the creator.
